About Mr CoCo

Born 06/18/2022, Male, Fawn and White Persian

Adoption Fee: $600

This wonderful kitty has an unusual story. Surrendered to a shelter by the ” owner” the Shelter contacted me immediately to ask if I was interested? I said “Yes  Of course !” I am a big Persian lover, they are my favorite breed. I asked if the Shelter could spay her for me.They said no.A transporter brought her to me on day three and when we met her we were entirely thrilled with what a friendly, beautiful loving kitty she was. We were lucky to get a spay appointment a week later. The vet checked and  found no spay scar so they made their incision to get the job done. To their surprise they found she had no appropriate equipment at all. Opps! Now Coco is known as “Mr. Coco”. He was evidently neutered very young since his “ball sack “is so flat and empty.

They closed him up and gave me the news. It’s not often that a male kitty has a spay scar!! He’s so pretty everyone thought he was a sweet little girl kitty. Now we are readjusting our eyes and saying Well yes he does look like a boy. The colors are very soft. He’s still the same very affectionate ,confident, social happy kitty he was when he arrived.

This doesn’t really matter, but it makes me think about his history. I was thinking maybe his owner had passed away and relatives from far away came to tidy up his or her home. They I told the Shelter he was a four year-old female.  I wondered since he’s a male whether the four-year-old part was wrong also. His teeth look very young, but they have a little color on them so we and the vet think the 4 yrs old is probably correct.

Mr CoCo’s very playful and  very confident. I think he’s had a good life. We did a little grooming for him when he arrived. He had a few mats to be removed-maybe what would develop in one to two months of summer but he’s clearly been a loved kitty. He likes all kinds of attention and that includes grooming. He’s a delightfully easy cat in many ways. He uses his box, seems to eat everything, gets along with everyone and is friendly to other cats. He has no medical problems. We have taken care of his vaccinations and worming and flea meds and vitamins. He arrived micro chipped. We’ve all fallen hard for him. I’m sure in his new home he will run to the front door when the bell rings. He’s very social and involved in everything. He is very much a companion to a human or humans. I’ve never seen him around a respectful dog but I would expect him to be comfortable and probably in charge. He would be a delight for children over four years.

If you are an experienced Persian cat owner and love them greatly you might be just the home for this sweet boy. As you probably know Persians need extra love and care from their families. Mr. CoCo needs someone who’s around the home most of the time because a Persian’s heart is with his Persons. That is what they’re bred for. If I had space, I would keep him in a flash.

So some family will be very lucky to have his loving company. I’m sure he’ll sleep with you and purr  in the dark of night and in this difficult world, what could be better?

He let me know he’d like to have a new name if you can think of one for him.

If you believe you’re my perfect adopter please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Harriet please email info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
