About Motina

Born ~2013, F, Long Hair Tortie-Point Siamese

Motina is a gorgeous, sweet, long-hair tortie-point Siamese that is looking for her forever family just in time for the holiday season. “Motina” means mother in Lithuanian and this beautiful girl has had too many years of raising adorable babies and is ready to retire in comfort.

She is 8-years-old and was recently rescued from being abandoned in the streets when her owner decided she longer fit in their life. Poor Motina was welcomed into the Purebreds Plus family along with her four, 4-week-old babies.

Motina was spayed at a community clinic before coming to Purebreds so she has a small ear tip, but that doesn’t minimize the beauty of her unique markings, gorgeous fluffy tail, and wonderful personality.

The purrfect home for Motina is probably on the more quiet side, although she absolutely loves everyone she meets and has adjusted to her foster home with ease. She would be a great addition for a retired individual, couple, or someone looking for an easy-going kitty that loves attention, warm blankets, and light playing.

Upon intake to Purebreds, it was discovered that Motina has FIV. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, a condition that can weaken a cat’s immune system. FIV is only transmitted through blood transfusions or serious penetrating bite wounds. Other cats cannot get FIV through casual contact with FIV+ cats. Many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives and can live their entire life without ever coming down with any symptoms of FIV. As long as they are not exposed to any other virus or bacteria that their weakened immune system can’t handle, they can live healthy, normal lives. Motina is currently in a foster home with four adult cats with no issues. She tends to keep to herself, sleeping in the guest bedroom with her comfy blankets, but shows no sign of aggression when roaming the house with the resident kitties. The ideal situation would be Motina as the only cat in the home, but she should also be fine with other non-aggressive cats. She is also currently housed with a large dog and shows no interest or concern.

Please consider giving sweet Motina the wonderful forever home she deserves.

Motina is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in Sacramento .

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Motina please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Liz at purrcollector@gmail.com If you are unable to reach Liz please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
