Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Missy is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with my current owner in Stockton. The adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.
Hello, my name is Missy, and I sure do need a ‘real’ home. I have been staying with the nicest people in my neighborhood, who said they would take care of me for a little while to keep me safe from wandering alone outdoors.
They took me to their vet in May, who said I was about ten years old, which surprised my caregivers, who said I looked like I may be 6, possibly 7. The reason the vet said this is because my teeth need looking after, recommending a cleaning and possible extractions. I would love to have a mouth that is no longer painful. The Vet also prescribed a K/D diet because my bloodwork showed higher than normal values that could affect my kidneys. I really like this new food too!
Here is what my caregiver says about me: “Missy loves to spend time with us and usually finds where we’re located in the house and settles down in a comfy spot. She is gentle and very sweet-natured. She never scratches furniture or anything else with her claws. She is great with my three young children and tolerates our two friendly young dogs very well. We do not know her temperament with other cats. She cannot jump very high and is not on much of our furniture, although she will jump onto a chair and then the table and rest her paws on my laptop when I’m trying to work, looking for attention. She doesn’t play with cat toys but does find a liking to the corner of my daughter’s blankie and will occasionally bat at it with her paw. She’s used to being with us but does well on her own in the house when we’re gone, sleeping the day away. She likes to sit by the sliding window screens and look outside. She loves to be petted and cared for and does very well being bathed, brushed, and eyes and ears cleaned. She is the sweetest cat and would be happy in a loving home with someone who wants to spend time with her and take care of her needs.”
I am a really good girl, use my litter box perfectly, and would just love to be loved by you so that I can love you right back! Please think of me; I’m waiting to hear from you real soon!
My foster mom says I am spayed, FELV tested, dewormed, eat wet food, and am litterbox perfect. They say that’s good!
I currently live with my owner in Stockton.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you’re my perfect adopter, please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Pam at email@example.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
