About Minu
Born ~7/16/2020, F, Brown Bicolor Ragdoll
Adopted by Rose, Marquis, Camron & Clayden
This little girl needs to be loved and pampered. You can see what a delicate treasure Minu is. She is sparkling white with light brown patches on her back, head and on her extremely lush tail. Add in a pink nose and blue, blue eyes and you have a very pretty little kitty. And she is as silky soft as she looks.
Her name, Minu, means “precious little kitty” in Arabic. She came into rescue because her young mom was going back to college and her life was demanding, changing and too busy for her to have time for her girl. Minu needs a family who can be around her a lot. She likes that closeness. A typical Ragdoll she wants lots of petting and companionship, she wants her family to be around her. Minu would be great for someone who is a homebody, maybe retired or works from home.
We were a bit worried about how Minu would do in rescue but she adapted to being with us quicker than we expected. She is a good natured kitty, very cooperative. She is not a prima donna she is a bit more a baby ( love me and keep me safe). She had trouble in her last home with how often her mom was away and sometimes peed in the wrong place. A thorough vet exam and urine culture showed her trouble were not medical. The vet said “stress urination”. Her young mom loved her so much but she could not offer her the time and the stable, quiet home Minu needed.
In rescue with us she has been litterbox perfect even thru this difficult time of transition. We all love her and she gets lots of attention from us. In her last home she had been given a drain thru nonabsorbent crystal litter system. Some cats, we know, do not like the feel of those pebbles under their feet. Some possibly don’t like the smell of the absorbent urine pads underneath. Clumping clay sort of takes away the smell. Minu adapted right away to the clay dust free litter we use.
This little girl is a little cautious with new humans. She is not an utterly confident cat. She needs a little time to figure things out. But not too long. She is friendly and good natured. She lived happily with another cat in her last home and might well enjoy a non dominant kitty companion. Ragdolls are very gentle cats, mellow and sweet. They are also very emotionally connected to their family.
Manu’s new family needs to offer her the safe, secure, peaceful home that Ragdolls need. They are the opposite of Maine Coons who can thrive on noise and chaos. Some family will be so lucky to have her sweet companionship and love.
Mine is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
