About Mini Cooper
Adopted by Jill
Born ~06/18/2016, Male, Tuxedo DSH
Mini Cooper and his siblings came into rescue because their Momma Cat was abandoned and became pregnant in a feral cat colony in Sacramento. Momma Cat, being the resourceful girl that she is, and knowing she wasn’t safe outside, begged her way past the front door of a nearby apartment and promptly had kittens on the couch. It was too much for the kind, young man who had opened his door to a frightened stray. He contacted me through a mutual friend, and Momma and 6 babies came into rescue on Father’s Day. With some help from her foster mom, Momma Cat raised her 6 babies, plus 3 more that came into rescue 10 days later. (Momma Cat has since been spayed and is happily back with the man who let her in the front door!)
Cooper is a busy, happy kitten. He likes to ‘check-in’ with his foster mom periodically for some pets and loving when he is playing. He runs and tumbles with his siblings, then runs up purring for attention, then back to playtime. When it is time for a nap, his preferred sleep spot is his foster mom’s lap, but he will settle for a couch cushion.
Cooper was born on June 18th and has tested negative for Leukemia Virus. He will be ready for his forever home in mid- to late- September. He has been raised as one of nine kittens in a house with adult cats and a Labrador. He is very well-rounded socially.
If you are looking for two, Cooper would be happy with any of his siblings or foster siblings!
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
