About Milan
Born ~2014, F, Torti Point Ragdoll Manx Mix
Meet Milan, a beauty that has it all! Floofy – check, sweet – check, extra toes – check, adorable rutter (err stubby tail) – check, the biggest bluest most soulful eyes you have ever seen – double check!
Milan is just learning to be a special girl, treated kindly and accepting love. It has been a journey for Milan, but she is resilient, and has found a new way of living and has really learned to come to love it. Ragdolls can be emotionally sensitive and Milan is no exception, she is still adjusting but has made amazing progress. New situations still make Milan nervous and can deal with it differently than most loved cats would. We are confident Milan will continue to flourish with a family who has a relatively stable, quiet home. Her new family would need to be patient and be willing to show Milan that her world will be safe and full of love at her own pace, though, it most likely would not take long for her to realize it and blossom!
Milan has all sorts of other furry creatures she’s learning to get along with as well. She was terrified of the Border Collie at first and faked like she was tough but finds her really fascinating now. Milan now hangs out with a few older foster kittens and is learning how to play for, what seems like the first time so, with some slow introductions, she would probably do really well. Milan would do best with a family who has lots of experience with cats and knows how to read her body language and can be respectful of her needs while she is refining her new social skills. She appreciates long gentle pets, gentle chin rubs and head scratches too but has a tendency to get into a playful mood and give you a “love nip”. She may be around 6 years old but this new experience of playing is AWESOME to her! She likes to make “biscuits” with all of her extra toes and purr lots and talks quietly to you while she’s doing it, something that is also new to her.
True to her Ragdoll nature, she would love to find a family who would welcome a “supervisor” of sorts as well as a quiet counselor with head bobs for those less than perfect days. While she is mostly a soft talker, she will let you know when she cannot see you and it is bothersome for her with a quick beller of sorts. Her beautiful coat is long and silky but is easy to maintain with grooming approximately twice a week and has come to really enjoy grooming sessions.
Milan is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and uses her litter box perfectly. She has a simple diet of both canned and dry food but does like an occasional treat too. Milan is currently living with her foster family in Sacramento. If you are looking for a companion, a soul mate per se and willing to give Milan time to show you her truly loving nature, she would love to have you as her forever hooman!
