Hi! We are Bear (a fluffy little black girl) and Meg (a fluffy little Tortie girl). We are about 5 months old and have been living with our foster Mom and Dad near Sacramento since early December. We had a pretty hard life as babies. We lived in the parking lot of the Black Bear Diner, eating scraps from the dumpster until some very nice people came and took us home. We were found with several other babies and all of us were pretty scared. A little more information about us….

Both of us are pretty small for our age (5+ months), but both of us are very healthy and fluffy! We’ve had our shots, spayed, and have been microchipped. We’ve also been tested for FELV and are negative. We eat Iam’s kitten food (canned) at night and enjoy dry kitten food, available whenever we want along with plenty of fresh water. Also, we are litterbox perfect!

In our foster home we have resident kitties to play with along with a big Golden Retriever dog. We get along great with the other kitties, but not a big fan of the Goldie. While she is very friendly and wants to hang out with us, she is pretty big compared to us so we don’t play with her a lot.

We both adore the resident kitty named Reggie. He is a Maine Coon tabby guy and was the 1st kitty we met after we came out of our room to explore the house. He took us under his wing and showed us where all of the toys and kitty trees were. Since he wasn’t quite a year old, he taught us how to be “kittens” and chase each other all over the house. We love chasing toys all over and especially love any kind of box to play in.

At night we like to sleep in our Kitten room, so at bed time we run into the room and often Reggie comes in too. The best part is that Reggie knows how to open the door so after snuggling for a while he opens the door and we all run around the house again and play before finally settling down for the night.

While we want to be part of the family and hang out with our foster Mom and Dad, we are still pretty skittish when they approach us and try to pet us. Our 1st response is to run away. But when we are sleeping on the bed or in the kitty tree, they have been able to pick us up and hold us on their lap. When they do, we found out that we really like that and purrrrr and cuddle like crazy. I’m sure that eventually we will come to readily accept human contact, but right now we are a work in progress.

We have bonded together, so we will only go to our new home as a pair. We need a special h

My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. They say that’s good!

I currently live with my foster family in Rancho Murieta.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you’re my perfect adopter please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact David & Edie at Gran.Kitty.Foster@gmail.com If you are unable to reach David & Edie please email info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
