Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Max is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but resides with his current owner in San Mateo. An adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.
8-year-old Max was adopted 4 years ago by his owner at age 4. Max is a purebred Ocicat. He is a fun, full-of-himself, engaging boy! His energetic enthusiasm is creating too much stress for the FIP survivor kitty in his home. Max is highly intelligent, clever, and very social with humans. He will follow you around, is talkative, has opinions, and will engage in conversation with you. Max loves to lie in sunny places and especially enjoys a garden window with no plants; that’s just for the kitties.
Max sometimes chews on things he shouldn’t, like stuffed animals and blankets, so it is best to keep them away from him.
Since his successful urinary surgery four years ago, Max has had no reoccurring urinary issues. Max eats a prescribed urinary diet and has always been perfectly litter box trained. His last Vet check was in June 2023. Max is a healthy indoor-only cat.
Here is what Max’s owner says about him:
“Max is an incredibly sweet, social, loyal, playful, snuggly cat who would love your attention and devotion.
Max will greet you (and anyone who comes by) at the door, talk to you about his day, fetch crinkly ball toys, bring you your slippers, and trot after you everywhere you go in the house. He wants to sit on a chair next to the kitchen counter so he can watch you cook. He would love to snuggle up next to you at night and greet you in the morning with loud purrs. He is incredibly smart and curious, often opening doors and trying to figure out how to overcome any obstacles that get in his way. He has tons of energy and LOVES to play! His affection and loyalty mean that he thrives being the only pet in the home, so he can get all the attention you have to give.
Max has been an amazing companion but, unfortunately, is too aggressive towards our other cat, which is a huge stressor for us all. He really needs to be in a home where he will be the only pet, or he gets quite jealous. I want him to go to a home where he will get all the attention he needs and deserves and will be less stressed.
Max is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox-perfect.
He currently lives with his owner in San Mateo.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Max, please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application and contact Pam at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam, please email us at email@example.com.
NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
