About Matilda
Adopted by Jayde
Born ~2013, Female, Tortie Point, Scottish Fold
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray for someone to love and keep.
I have this disease they say.
I have to stay alone, all night, all day.
It’s just to protect me and the others around.
But I really just want to be unbound.
Most of all I want someone to love me
No matter what…could you do that for me?
Matilda came to us from a shelter in Oregon and is such a beautiful girl. She did test positive for FIV (feline AIDS) which is not good. However the majority of cats with this disease do live many happy, healthy years.
Matilda is super affectionate and will rub all over you and give you little nudges to remind you to keep petting her. She is starved for affection. Her coat is super plush and as soft as a bunny and those little folded ears are just adorable.
She loves her humans but isn’t real fond of other critters. That actually is preferred since she will be healthier and safer living as an only kitty. Are you willing to love this very special girl as she is? SHe really just wants a home to call her own.
Check out this excellent overview about the disease from Cornell University.
She loves to eat and has perfect litterbox manners.
Matilda is currently fostered in Placerville, CA.
