Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Map is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in Stockton. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.
Map was adopted with his best friend Map two years ago. Their owner needs to re-locate and is unable to take these two beautiful guys along. It would be wonderful, and preferred, if they could be adopted together. Their owner says they would probably be okay if separated.
This is what their owner would like you to know about Map:
“Map and Herbie do well with each other, they are both cute and well-behaved. They love to sleep together on mattresses or couches and sometimes under your bed. They also love to be cuddled and enjoy daily hairbrushes.
Map has occasional hairballs, so I usually feed him hairball wet food or hairball elimination gel twice a week to help him with this, but if he gets a daily hairbrush, it will also help. Herbie doesn’t have that issue, but I feed them both the same diet, and they seem to enjoy it. I usually give them a wet food treat 2-3 times a week if I feel like they want something to change in their diet, but it’s literally up to you. He loves Royal Canin wet food.
Map must be an indoor-only cat as he was declawed by his previous owner. They are not microchipped since I keep them as indoor-only cats. Map’s not picky about cat litter and behaves well using the litter box. I usually use Fresh Step Multi-Cat and think that should continue in the beginning at a new home.
I have only brought him to the vet when needed for health issues or full bath service, as he looks so stressed and exhausted after a vet visit. His last check-up was February 2022 and both are healthy cats. Map is afraid of water, so you have to be careful when bathing. He prefers a pet salon for grooming needs, rather than the vet.
Map likes to sleep most of the time and prefers warm temperatures. He will try to get into the bed and sleep next to you, under your leg, or lie down on your chest.
Map is getting accustomed to meeting new people and is not as shy as Herbie. They are really very good kitties. If you don’t like something they learn quickly and recognize what you like or dislike.”
Map and Herbie are adorable kitties! We don’t know how they would do with dogs or children. We think a quiet, loving home like they are used to will be best for them. We have included a picture of Herbie too, please check out his posting on our website. We expect they will be adopted quickly. If you are interested in adopting them together, and mention that in the comment section, only one application need be submitted. An adoption fee of $175 applies for Map or $300 for both Map and Herbie.
Map is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his owner in Stockton.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Map please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
