About Mamakins

Adopted by Dennis

This little child bride was a tender loving mother who cared for four little kittens. One baby was adopted out before Purebreds took in this family. The other three were Madeline, Toffee, and Tucker, all marvelous and all adopted.

This young little girl graciously accommodated the huge changes in her life. She had been “sort of” cared for at the inside/outside home where she got pregnant. ( I think they had many cats.) Needing more safety with her just-born litter, she was moved to a foster’s bathroom where her kitties could grow and learn to run and play. When they were old enough, they came to their current foster in Santa Cruz. When Mamakins was, as Mother Nature ordains, finally done with her kids (to make room for the next litter), we gave her some private space and a spay. She is happy with the love of humans instead of the demands of ravenous babies. She is not much older than a kitten herself. I included below a lovely photo of her with her kitten family.

Mamakins is a classic Manx girl with a little nubbin of a tail. So cute. Manx have powerful hind legs, which are longer than their front legs, so you can see how her back slopes a bit downwards towards her front. She is a super healthy kitty, vaccinated and microchipped. She was combo tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV and was negative for both.

This pretty girl is ready for her new home. She is a peaceful kitty, quiet, good-natured and patient, a little shy with strangers. She can be startled by noise- a slamming door or shout- which is generally true of most cats but especially true of her. She would like a quiet, loving home without barking dogs or noisy young children. Mamakins is a wonderful peaceful companion for someone who has and wants a quiet, peaceful home. If you put your hand out, she will softly put her head in it. She loves looking out windows but has no desire to go out.

Respectful older children would be fine for her, but it is easiest to imagine her with an older family. I don’t know how she would be with dogs. She is tolerant of other cats and could coexist with other non-dominant kitties but she would also be happy to be the only pet in the home. She will make someone a loyal, loving, sweet companion.

Mamakins eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Mamakins is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Mamakins, please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Harriet, please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
