About Madeline
This is Madeline. She is a 3 yr old tortie Exotic Shorthair Persian. These Shorthair Persians with their flat faces are just like a Persian but they have been bred not to have the big long coats. They are called “the lazy man’s persian”. They offer all the loving cuddly nature of the Persian without all the work of grooming. Madeline certainly has the Persian personality -she is friendly and gentle, playful and curious. She accepted being suddenly surrendered to us with a very good grace. She has very big nipples and has likely been bred.
Her previous owner was concerned when she felt a small lump in Madeline’s neck and knew she could not afford to take her to the vet. What could we say? Of course we wanted to help her. This small marble sized lump could be a number of things some harmless, and some not so harmless. Our vet said “Oh yes you need to take that out.” We need to do a blood panel and a biopsy to figure out what is going on. The estimate for this is about $490.
