About Madeline

Adopted by Sonja Kirk Brigit and Eric

This is one cute kitten!!! The camera loves her. She is so much fun. She used to be the shy one of the litter. Calico’s tend to think they own all the world and it wasn’t long before her calico nature came to the fore and Maddie now is full of exuberance and personality. She likes the attention of humans. And look how relaxed she is in her friend’s arms, staring at the camera. Well, she was relaxed in some of the photos below. She wiggled delightfully in the two photos I included where we “hung” her holding her by her armpits. It is hard to resist her fluffy white tummy, her bright pink toe beans, and the gold blaze on her forehead.

Maddie comes from a family of Manxes. Her short tail is about 2 inches long. Mostly what you see is her long hair covering her tail. She is white mitted (white-footed) with a bright white bib and tummy. Her chestnut, red, and brown coat is actually mostly spotted, which her long hair disguises. I am very smitten with the unexpected tufts growing from the tips of her ears. She is an unusual looking cat and I would love to see her in her full magnificence when she is full gown. She looks bigger in these photos than she really is.

This vibrant comedian will certainly entertain her new family. It is hard not to just sit and stare at her. Maddie gets along with other cats and kittens. With her calico nature, she will probably be a dominant cat. I don’t know how she is with dogs but as she matures I have no doubt she will be in charge. I think she will also do well with gentle children who aren’t too young and noisy.

Her two tabby and white brothers, Tucker and Toffee, will be posted soon. They are good-natured boys, playful and affectionate, and sweet. Madeline, the girl, is a total character – she got the colorful drama of the three.

Some family will be so lucky to have her entertaining company and fascinating, unique appearance.

Madeline eats wet and dry food and is letterbox perfect.

Madeline is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Madeline please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
