About Lucas

Adopted by Ewa
Born ~2010, M, Brown Spotted Bengal
Adoption Fee $275
Here is a quick look at Eli’s brother, Lucas. These two boys look very similar. Lucas is recovering from a deep neck abscess. The wound is now healed but he is still on antibiotics to help eradicate the bacterial infection in his body. I have included a couple of photographs of him with his “E Collar” on which kept him from licking his wound site. We changed him from his hard plastic collar which of course he did not like to a soft fabric one. He, being an active Bengal, managed to get his one front foot through it and wore it as a skirt. We got a cute photo of a darling cat. Don’t be fooled by his innocent look. “I don’t know how this happened. I didn’t do anything”.

He is still too skinny and needs more time to recover so he is not really ready to go home.I wanted to put this mini bio up since folks see Eli’s bio and ask about Lucas. Ideally these two will go home together. Perhaps Eli will go home first.

Lucas totally loves anything to do with catnip. He loves to open cabinet doors and see what is inside. He can probably open lever handle front doors.( We are very careful) He is very smart and quite determined. He loves to run and explore. He needs to gain 2-3 pounds to catch up with his brother. Our new game is to hide little bowls of wet food around his foster home. When he finds them he eats them. It is the hunter in him. If he can steal wet food from another cat it tastes better to him. He is great fun.

He can be reserved now with his brother but he cannot go home yet. These two kitties were owner surrendered to a shelter together. They look very similar and we are assuming they are brothers but we do not know for sure. The shelter had no info about them, not even their names.
He eats wet and dry food and is litter box perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
