About Linde (and Lucius)

Adopted by Randy and Viska

I can imagine Lucius and Linde dashing through swirling mists of moonglow, down stone corridors at Hogwarts, disappearing thru huge mirrors, cuddling in the dormitories. They are sort of magical looking kitties. When you look at the photographs below, keep reminding yourself that these big kitties are actually only 8 month old kittens and, as is typical of Maine Coons, they will continue to grow til they are about three and a half years old. Currently they are about 9 and 11 pounds and it seems clear they will become extra big cats.

Lucius and Linde are brother and sister. Both have long bodies, long legs, long whiskers, super long tails, and gold eyes. Their thick medium length hair is still growing. Linde’s ruff is currently longer than her brother’s but both are works in progress. Keep reminding  yourself these two are still kittens.

Linde is a silver grey cutie with an often curling plume of a tail. She is a little smaller than her brother and tends to follow his lead. It takes a lot to keep up with Lucius who is an active troublemaker whose curiosity and sense of fun always keeps him busy. Black cats are all about the silhouette and his lines and proportions make him a constant visual treat.

Lucius can be held in just about any position. He is relaxed with humans and very loving and affectionate. He arrived from a shelter skinny like a little scarecrow. His sister weighed more and looked healthier. Lucius caught up. ( I included a baby kitten photo of Linde for you below. ) These siblings are a closely bonded pair. Linde is a bit shyer than Lucius, a little less confidant than her super outgoing brother. When you go to pick her up she may say “No I don’t think so” and but then she lets you hold her in your arms and relaxes as she cuddles right in.

As Maine Coons grow in size they also grow in quirky personality traits. They generally are “real characters” who are known to be comedians and entertainers. These two are, and will be, such fun for some lucky family. I have never seen them around cat friendly dogs but they would probably be fine with the right introduction. They get along well with cats. Maine Coons are known to be good family cats, comfortable in a noisy household, happy with children older than four.

Lucius and Linde eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Linde is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Linde (and Lucius) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
