About Lacie

Adopted by Linda

Meet little Lacie. She is a ball of loveable fluff and as sweet as can be. She has a beautiful plush lilac coat and soft, expressive blue eyes. She has a gentle meow that she will display in the kitchen when it is time for her dinner. She can be found in the house sleeping on a heated cat bed when she is not actively chasing and playing with her two foster pals, Lennie and Lexie. She would love to go home with one of them or needs to go to a house with another playful cat or kittens. She would be very lonely being the only cat in her new home.

On New Year’s Eve, we got a call from the shelter that three kittens had come in with upper respiratory infections. It was a holiday weekend, and they would not have a veterinarian on staff until Monday. URI infections are something we can easily treat, so we quickly headed to the shelter to pick up three kittens to jump-start their treatment. Little did we know their eye infections were much more severe than we realized over the phone and seeing pictures. Lexie, Lacie, and Lennie came in together and looked about the same age, but we are not sure they are siblings. We were extremely concerned about Lacie and Lennie and knew they had an eye ulcer in one of their eyes. We started two kinds of eye medications every four hours until we were able to get them in to see an ophthalmologist. Fast forward through the next few weeks. We were able to get their eyes stable and not in danger of having to remove an eye. Both Lacie and Lennie will have limited sight in one of their eyes. Lexie has a clouded eye but limited vision in one eye. This has been a labor of love to get these kittens ready for adoption, and happily, we can report they have been cleared by their doctors to join their new families.

We hope you can look past this touch hardship in their early lives and give them the love they require moving ahead in their happy, healthy lives. Helping kittens in need is what we do best at the rescue, and so proud of the care we were able to provide these three little ones.

Lacie is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in Davis.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Lacie, please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Laurel B Fagan at laurel@faganhome.com or 5303042836. If you are unable to reach Laurel B Fagan, please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
