8 year old, F, Himalayan, Special Needs (Blind)

Kona is a blind little kitty. She was surrendered to the shelter last year with one eye (there were no previous veterinary records) and was adopted out in December. While in her new home, the resident cat scratched Kona’s cornea and damaged it so badly that it also had to be removed. Now she has no eyes and is completely blind!

Kona would be okay with another kitty; however that cat will have to be a very easy going mild tempered cat. She can’t see them coming so they have to take it slow with her. Before she was adopted out in December, the organization she is currently at did some serious grooming on her as well as a senior blood panel and urinalysis. Both of the tests came up normal.

Kona is a picky eater and only weighs a whopping 5 pounds! She is very sweet and mellow. She needs a quiet home environment where she can map out her environment and become more comfortable.

If you would like to give this poor little blind kitty a permanent, supportive and loving home, please contact Pat at 925-838-1838 or email her at patorourke1@comcast.net.

Please note that Kona is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing at a Bay Area shelter.
