Born 9/04/11, F, Blue-Eyed White Oriental Shorthair Siamese
Here’s lovely Jolene. She is a Cat Fancy Association registered Oriental Shorthair (OSH) that came to us from the ailing breeder in Southern California.
She has the most beautiful blue eyes to set off her pink ears and nose. Her hearing seems to be fine so no worries about white kitties with blue eyes needed here.
One of the photos below shows a band of fur missing in front of her hind legs. This band is simply the result of an over zealous vet tech who shaved a bit too much getting her ready for her spay. It looks odd but the hair is growing in. Jolene has also had a dental. A canine tooth was broken and the pulp was exposed (ouch!) so that tooth and some others have been removed and her teeth have been polished.
This friendly girl is a little different from the other Orientals that came into foster with me. She has let us know that other cats are annoying to her and she would like to have a human of her very own. She has had enough of sharing!! With her own human I expect she would be thrilled to solicit pets and head bumps all for herself. She would likely be in heaven.
We are looking for a family who would like her to be their one and only. A family who has experience with Oriental Shorthairs would be perfect. Oriental Shorthairs are very special cats, a bit fragile, who flourish with the special care they need. Jolene will be the first to tell her human what she wants. Do you want to be trained by your cat? Jolene is a talker and she will put her humans in training right away. She is a bit stand offish with people she doesn’t know but she comes around to her friendly self quite quickly. Her favorite toys are little quick moving feather wands. She is a playful girl.
Jolene loves to eat wet and dry food with a special preference for gooey wet foods and human foods like chicken.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
