About Jojo
This lovely girl is registered with the Cat Fancy Association. There is no way I would have known she is an “Ebony Silver Patched Tabby” unless I had her registry information. I do know she is certainly a wonderful and very beautiful cat. Jojo is also a good mother and she needs to go home with her adult daughter, Xena, an Ebony Oriental Shorthair who is just one year old. She and Xena cuddle up together all the time and we do not wish to separate them. And won’t.
These two kitties came from an ailing breeder who no longer wished to continue with her show cats. Purebreds Plus was happy to offer to help her out. Dedicated transporters brought these kitties up to me in Santa Cruz from Southern California and what amazing kitties I suddenly found I had. Rescue can be so exciting.
Many folks are unfamiliar with Oriental Shorthair Siamese cats. These cats are closely related to Siamese kitties but they offer a very wide variety of coat colors (over 300). Unlike their blue-eyed Siamese relatives, they normally have green eyes. As you can see, they are very long-legged and long-bodied. They are so slender and they are also very light-footed. And they retain their athletic, playful natures throughout their lives. Xena and Jojo play chase with each other at maximum speed- one hardly sees the blur as they race by. They are highly intelligent and with their social natures they make great companions. They generally do best in pairs.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
