About Jag

Adopted by Nicole

Born ~06/18/2016, Male, Black, Classic Tabby with White DSH

Jag and his siblings came into rescue because their Momma Cat was abandoned and became pregnant in a feral cat colony in Sacramento. Momma Cat, being the resourceful girl that she is, and knowing she wasn’t safe outside, begged her way past the front door of a nearby apartment and promptly had kittens on the couch. It was too much for the kind, young man who had opened his door to a frightened stray. He contacted me through a mutual friend, and Momma and 6 babies came into rescue on Father’s Day. With some help from her foster mom, Momma Cat raised her 6 babies, plus 3 more that came into rescue 10 days later. (Momma Cat has since been spayed and is happily back with the man who let her in the front door!)

Jag, a Black Classic Tabby with White is a plush-coated Domestic Shorthair. He is very outgoing and sweet and loves to play with his siblings and foster siblings. He is a purry bundle of snuggles when playtime is through. Jag has been tested negative for Leukemia Virus. He will be ready to go to his forever home sometime mid- to late- September. He has been raised as one of nine kittens in a house with adult cats and a Labrador and is very well-rounded socially.

If you are looking for two, Jag would be happy with any of his siblings or foster siblings!

If you would like more information, please contact foster mom, April, at aprilfieldsrvt@gmail.com or send in an Adoption Application with your chosen kitten’s name.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
