Born ~2013, M, Lynx Point Siamese
I couldn’t resist this big boy in the shelter. He is a gentle soul. He was owner surrendered and he still looks a bit sad from that. Perhaps he was left at the shelter because he needed a dental. He needed several teeth removed including canines. (It looked as though he has sustained a blow to his mouth.) His teeth are polished and perfect now.
“Lynx Point” refers to a cat with stripes on his forehead, tail and sometimes on the legs. Of course Jack has the blue, blue eyes of the Siamese with wonderful white eyeliner to set his eyes off. Mother Nature gives cats from tigers to house cats this eyeliner to make their eyes seem bigger and more scary to prey. It works. His pink nose sets off the blue of his eyes and his grey cream coloring perfectly. He is a healthy, sturdy, beautiful boy.
You would never look at Jack and wonder what gender he was. He is a very male looking kitty, a man about town kind of guy. Surprisingly he is gentle and agreeable, patient with photographers, easygoing with strangers. He has not shown us that he really likes other kitties and I think it would be best to send him home as an only cat. I don’t know how he is with dogs.
I am guessing he has been outside. Because of this I think he needs a family with a double door system (out through the garage?) or with an easy system to keep him in like a front door opening to a hallway in an apartment building. I saw Jack once wanting to get thru a door- an interior door in this case – and he was skilled in getting around someone’s legs. This means he needs a new home with no young children and perhaps a family without someone a bit unstable on his or her feet. At the same time he is very good-natured about being picked up and moved about.
Jack is a big-hearted, loyal cat. Siamese lovers know how very sensitive and human involved these kitties are. Jack wants a deep bond with his humans. He will probably train you very easily. He has a wonderful purr. Some family will be so lucky to have his companionship.
Jack eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
