Born ~2007, M, Tabby Maine Coon

Special Pair Fee $150

Jack is a magnificent, big Maine Coon. He has never met anyone he hasn’t liked. He is a big lover boy and wants to be around humans A LOT. Taking pictures of him is a challenge because as soon as he sees a human walking towards him, camera at the ready, he gets up to greet said human and solicits love and affection.

Jack is also very bonded with a shy but pretty orange tabby girl by the name of Anastasia. The caretaker refers to Anastasia as Jack’s Baby Doll because of the way Jack takes care of his little girlfriend. When you observe them together, it will pull on your heart strings. There is something so endearing when a big strapping male of approx. 24 lbs. takes care of a dainty little female that weighs approx. 5 lbs. When Anastasia hangs out in her cat hut, which is too small for Jack to fit into, he plants himself right next to it as if to guard his precious Baby Doll. Their friendship is as hilarious as it is cute.

Jack loves to put his big paws into his water bowl – perhaps to test the temperature, perhaps to play in water, or perhaps just because he thinks it’s funny. He gives head butts to humans and other cats. He will jump into your lap if you don’t mind having a 24-pounder warming your lap. He is a most awesome, endearing, super friendly, big, and burly lover boy.

Anastasia is reserved and perhaps a bit weary. According to the previous guardian, she was taken out of a feral colony at the age of 3-4 months. She may not have been properly socialized, which is why it is imperative that she and Jack get to stay together. They are so connected, and he is her protector. She will allow to be petted, but her new owner will need to be patient with this little girl. She is very soft and petite.

So why are they in need of a new home? Jack and Anastasia’s caretaker has a pet sitting business. About 2 months ago a woman dropped them off for boarding purposes. The kitties were in rough shape but have recuperated nicely since then. Supposedly the woman’s mother was caring for them but started having dementia issues. The woman brought them here from Las Vegas, but can’t have them in her apartment and was going to move to a place where she could have them. Since they were dropped off, the caretaker hasn’t heard a word from the woman and after numerous unanswered phone calls and emails where she stated that she will have to put up the kitties for adoption, she asked our organization to help find a loving, suitable home for them.
