About Henri

Born ~2014, M, Seal Point Snowshoe
Adoption Fee: $175

Henri just wants to lean forward and put his head in your hand. It is such a sweet gesture. His life has been rough. How did such a people loving, affectionate, obliging Snowshoe boy end up living without a safe and warm home? You can do anything with him, fuss with his feet , medicate him, hold him oddly and he says “Ok if you want to do this you can|” He is a lover and an easy cat to make happy.

Look at how shredded his ears are. He has probably fought for the girls but he is so mild it seems like he was probably picked on a lot . He still likes cats. When a cat lover found him on a dusty road it seemed clear he had been outside without care for quite a while. Someone loved him and gave him the attention that made him the big lovebug he is today. I think he was a family cat. What happened? We will never know.

Henri is quite a big boy, a classic Snowshoe Siamese with icy blue eyes and four white feet, a pretty cat. He would probably be fine with non aggressive cats. I am sure he knows dogs. I can easily imagine him with gentle dogs like a big old lazy hound dog. He is a bit like that himself – more a couch potato than a mountain climber. He is an easy cat. He uses his box. He eats anything. He likes to be brushed. He loves catnip.

We neutered him and gave him a big dental. He needed many extractions. No worries he eats up a storm.

Even though he is a big strong boy he tested positive for the Feline Immunological Virus ( FIV+) This is a common virus affecting, I have read, 4 % of the cats in the U.S. Most owners are unaware their cats have this virus. Cats spread it in the fights for girl kitties. New research shows that despite this illness cats with FIV+ live, on average, as long as other cats. It has not been the illness itself that has killed these cats but rather human ignorance about this illness that has killed them. I have fostered many FIV+ cats and my google savvy adopters have read up on it and are happy to adopt them even when they have other cats in their home. I cannot go into this subject more here but I would be happy to email info to you if this interests or concerns you.

Henri would be a fine companion for just about anyone -a family with children, or an empty nest couple or single person looking for a good-natured, loving companion. He would really like to sit in your lap and would definitely love to sleep with you. After a rough life, at least recently, he will give you his grateful heart.

Henri is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Henri please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
