About Harlie

Born ~4/4/19, F, Tortoiseshell Maine Coon

Available July 1, 2019

Hi! My name is Harlie, and no, I’m not named after a motorcycle! My foster Mom picked that name as short for “Harlequin”. She tells me that Tortoiseshell kitties are her favorite. In fact there is a big kitty that lives here that looks a lot like me, except that kitty is not a Maine Coon like I am!

OK, here’s the deal…. My Mom is a beautiful ginger Maine Coon kitty who came all the way from Russia and used to belong to a cat breeder. She was rescued from there only a few days before me and my brothers and sisters were born. I was only a few days old when all of us went to live with our foster Mom and Dad in Rancho Murieta. Well, my kitty Mom and my foster Dad and Mom took real good care of us, and we all became healthy, happy kitties and are now ready to venture out into the world and find our forever homes!

For the first few weeks we all lived in our own special bedroom, in a big kitty playpen with lots of beds, and toys. Mom took really good care of us and when we got bigger and started wandering around on our own, we got to come out into the big house! This is when I met the big kitty that looked a lot like me, as well as other big kitties and a big Golden Retriever dog. I liked the kitty that looked like me and decided that I wanted to curl up with her and sleep. In the picture it’s hard to see where she stops and I begin!

I’m a very healthy girl and since I’m a Maine Coon I might get pretty big, but I won’t be fully grown until I’m about 3 years old. I’ve been spayed and micro-chipped and I’ve had my kitty shots. I love playing with my brothers and sister and really like climbing and playing in both of the kitty trees here. I got lots of toys to play with and especially like playing with my foster people call a “kitty fishing pole”. It’s a wand with feathers on the end of a string, and I will jump over the moon to get it! I also like chasing all the little balls and mousies that are on the floor.

I’m very healthy and I like to have dry food available all day long whenever I want a snack. In the evening I want my wet food and fresh water readily available at all times. I also always use my litter box and never make a mistake.

If you are interested in providing love, safety and a happy healthy home to a very pretty (my foster Mom and Dad say this all the time) Maine Coon kitty, check me out!

I am fostered in Rancho Murieta, CA (Sacramento Area).

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
