About Gnocchi (and Ravioli)

Adopted by Cyndi M

Gnocchi and Ravioli MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Ravioli here.

Meet Gnocchi –

Gnocchi, is the sweetest, silliest little baby you will ever meet. She is a very curious kitten who will sneak into any cabinet or closet door that happens to get left open. This little furr-ball will keep you on your toes!

After a relaxing nap in the sun, Gnocchi will get the zoomies, running around like lightning just before diving head first into her bed where she will flip a toy mouse up in the air while rolling in circles. It’s quite the spectacle! Gnocchi and her brother, Ravioli, spend much of their free time harassing each other, like loving siblings often do and she is especially good at giving kisses.

With all the things that make Gnocchi special, her ears are the most important. See, after she and her littermates were rescued, it was discovered that they had very severe ear infections most likely due to ear mites being left untreated. While on medication for the infection, Gnocchi’s ear drum ruptured and fluid from the infection developed very deep in her inner ear. That fluid build-up caused Gnocchi to tilt her head, spin in circles and even fall over while trying to stand or walk. She also couldn’t keep any food down and vomited a lot… it was a very scary time for her foster family. But thanks to Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue and some very generous donators, Gnocchi was able to get the specialized care she needed. And now, after months of intense daily ear cleanings, several long rounds of antibiotics, a CT scan and tons of visits to her doctor, Gnocchi is finally ready to find her forever home! Her cute little head tilt is the only remaining clue that she ever suffered such a horrible infection and she will most likely have a head tilt the rest of her life.

Even through the worst of it, Gnocchi kept the best attitude, often purring so loud during her medical exams, that the doctor couldn’t take her heart rate.

To keep her healthy, Gnocchi will need someone who will be diligent about cleaning her ears at home as well taking her in for regular check-ups to make sure the remaining fluid in her ear isn’t causing any further problems. In short, Gnocchi will need to be a valued family member, not just a pet.

Gnocchi is shy at first with new people but warms up quickly. Because she gets startled easily, she would do best in a home with older children over the age of 10.

Gnocchi LOVES her foster family’s big dog and would do well in a home with a dog who are cat friendly and is accustomed to being around kitties.

Gnocchi is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacrametno.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Gnocchi (and Ravioli) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Brennda at brennda_corrie@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Brennda please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
