Born ~2014, F, Seal Point Snowshoe
Now who do we have here? Yes, a rather rare Snowshoe kitty! Per Wikipedia, this breed is rare due to the difficulty of reproducing the correct coat markings.
Snowshoes are described as having an affectionate and docile disposition. Due to this, they do not do well under circumstances where they are left alone for long periods of time. Snowshoes are also very vocal, though their voices are not as loud as the Siamese. They are noted as being very intelligent and have the ability to learn tricks and open doors. These cats also enjoy water, and may swim.
So here we have lovely 5 years young Ginger. Her current owner adopted Ginger from an elderly woman who couldn’t keep this lovely girl. She thought Ginger would be an awesome fit for her daughter. Her daughter and Ginger are very loving with each other, but sadly the daughter is allergic to Ginger. Ginger’s current owner contacted our organization to help find this very special, voluptuous and oh so endearing little kitty a permanent home.
True to her breed description, Ginger is a very loving cat. She wants a lot of attention and is a lap cat. She loves children and cuddles with them. She also loves her belly and her face rubbed, and if you enjoy having meaningful conversations with your feline companion, Ginger will entertain you with her vocalization.
It is unknown if Ginger would be cat friendly since she hasn’t been around other cats. She does do well with smaller dogs. When she feels energetic, she will play by passing a ball back and forth. However, most of the time she just prefers cuddles with her humans.
Ginger is an indoor only kitty. In her original home she was overfed, so she needs to remain on a weight management diet.
She is litter box perfect.
