Born ~2014, Male, Flame Point Persian

Gemini is a real character with a BIG purrsonality. He is a lively kitty of approx. 2 years. He is very affectionate and playful with adults. His caretaker rescued him and another kitty girl from a shelter. They were both in the same cage and she figured they must be a bonded pair.

Turns out that is not the case. Gemini needs to be the “King Cat” of the house. He is a big little fella at ~ 10 lbs and he wants all of his human’s love and affection to himself.

The shelter rescued him from a horrible situation. He was neglected, underweight, dehydrated, and severely matted. He lived with several other kitties and OVER 35 dogs! Since his rescue, he has come a long way and really is a loving and affectionate kitty. He has personality PLUS! His caretaker already dreads not seeing his darling little face every day. Because of his aggression towards her docile female Persian, she currently has to lock him up all day in a bedroom. It breaks her heart. When she lets him out into the rest of the house, he runs back and forth down the hall…to her joy and amusement. He is a large, muscular kitty and is kinda loud when he runs down the hallway. An entertainer for sure!

He is rambunctious and needs daily interaction. He nips at fingers, which is his way of saying he wants to play. That’s why we don’t think he’d be the right companion for a family with small children (or planned children in the future). One would guess that he should be okay with gentle dogs, given that he was exposed to many of them in his short life.

Gemini eats rather quickly. He is a little messy eater. Since he was raised with over 35 dogs, his caretaker suspects that is the reason why he eats so fast; otherwise, there would be no food left if he didn’t rush.

He is a little bit klutzy, and sometimes knocks things over. She is not sure if this is due to eyesight problems or just because he is so full of energy and spirit. He doesn’t meow very much, and is usually pretty quiet. When his caretaker slept in the room with him a few times, he liked to put his face close up to her face. What an entertaining way to wake up – just one look at that adorable face and you know your day has started with a ray of sunshine. He loves attention, and he has a lot of love to give.

Gemini had a Well Visit checkup and was declared to be healthy. The vet prescribed eye ointment to assist for eye stain, which is prevalent in Persian kitties. He is litterbox perfect.
