About Faith (and Hope)

Adopted by Elvira

Faith and Hope MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Hope here.

Faith and Hope are a package deal and must be adopted together. They had a very difficult start in life. They were found in some blankets at Folsom Lake. They had severe eye infections and upper respiratory infections. They have since had their eyes removed and have adjusted very well. Sphynx cats make wonderful pets. But, they can get cold easily and will seek out warm spots in your home, so a sweater helps. They require grooming, including a weekly bath and ear cleaning.

Hope is very outgoing. She likes to play with toys that make noise, like crinkle balls, mice that rattle, paper balls. She is a velcro kitty who enjoys being with her people. She likes to cuddle on your lap, under the covers or sleep in her heated bed. She is extremely affectionate. She finds a way to climb on things like the kitchen counter, kitchen table, top of the cat tower, then has trouble finding her way down. She will cry when she needs help.

Hope tends to growl when she is confused or unsure of her location.

You may wonder how they will do in your home. Some things to keep in mind:
-Please, no open staircases in your home.
-Their sense of smell and hearing are more important to them than their vision, so you may see fairly normal behavior once they adjust to your home. It’s important to keep things in their place. If you move something, remember to put it back when you are finished. Beds, food and water dishes must be kept in “their” place.
-Don’t carry them from one place to another, but guide them with words. This will help them learn their environment. When you hold them, they will hold on with their claws because they can’t see their surroundings.

They are looking for an adult household with someone who is home a lot and will treat them like the princess’s they are. Sphynx breed and blind kitty experience is a plus. It would be best if they were the only kitties in the home, but they may be ok with other pets, depending on the circumstances.

Faith is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento .

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Faith (and Hope) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Kim at Kimmy624@gmail.com or 9169565286. If you are unable to reach Kim please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
