About Emiko
Hi I’m Emiko and… oh Foster Mom is here; let me climb on her shoulder so I can see everything! Oh look, that ipad thing is here! Got to go play! Oh wait a feather toy….mine….grrrr. Let me drag it around the room as my sister chases it! Bored…oh my brother is playing; let me sneak up on him…wait for it…wait for it…BAM! Got him! You can’t catch me! Time for Foster Mom’s shoulder again, she’ll protect me!!
Emiko is the tiniest of the three kittens and has all the physical characteristics of a Singapura. Her name means blessed beautiful child. She is adorable and precocious. She will have you wrapped around her little tail in no time. She will sometimes talk to you while she is playing which will make you chuckle at her antics. You will get a ball of energy, fun and love! Just look at those big eyes dancing with laughter and love! She runs to the door when humans arrive so she can get her time with them. Her eyes are huge compared to her face and it gives her such a sweet, innocent, look.
The three kittens, Hiroki, Takara and Emiko, had a Singapura Mom who weighed about 7 pounds and was a darker ruddy chocolate color and a Burmese Dad. We believe the Mom had Burmese in her background. Many breeders cross Singapuras with Burmese since the breeds have very similar personalities and characteristics. This can result in a wider span of colors and a more robust and healthy cat, since the gene pool for Singapuras is limited. These three kittens are an awesome example of this! Hiroki is more Burmese while Takara and Emiko are Singapuras.
Emiko will be ready to go home late November to early December. She currently weighs in at 1.6 lbs. and is about 10 weeks old as of October 29th! The adoption timing is estimated as they need to be a certain weight to be fixed before they can go home. Emiko will come to you fully vetted, up-to date on vaccines, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed and FIV/FLEV negative and of course she is litterbox perfect.
Emiko is fostered in Reno, NV.

This is a highly active, curious and affectionate cat. He may be small, but he knows he’s in charge. Expect him to supervise everything you do and to bluff you into leaving him alone when there’s something he doesn’t want to do, such as get his nails trimmed. He loves attention from his family so much that he sometimes has the reputation of being a pest.
The Singapura is usually cautious and shy when it comes to meeting new people, however some are friends with everyone. They typically get along well with other cats—especially other Singapuras. One thing they don’t like is a lot of loud noise, so screaming children and a very loud boisterous house hold could have them shrinking away in horror and hiding.
They are people-oriented and require regular, quality human interaction. Other cats for company will not be sufficient, your attention is required, greatly appreciated, and adorably reciprocated.
These cats come in “sepia agouti”. Agouti or “ticked” coats have bands of color around each strand of hair giving a rich, shaded quality, think Abyssinian coat. The sepia tones are ivory to ruddy to dark chocolate, and the underside of the cat is a lighter shade. The weight of a full grown cat is 6-8 pounds.
