Born ~07/2018, M, Brown Rosetted Bengal
Dougie is a very young, handsome boy with a glitter coat. He must go to a very cat experienced home, preferably one with Bengal or other active cat experience. Dougie’s owner bought him and his brother at 7 months from a retiring Bengal breeder. Neither were very well socialized. Dougie’s owner has been working with them on socialization, but Dougie would rather be bonded to his brother. The owner decided that the best thing for both boys would be to find a home for Dougie so he can be worked with to come around to be the social boy who is inside him. Dougie’s brother is starting to bond with his owner so with proper socialization, Dougie should come around also with time and work.
Dougie is very active and energetic. He will need a lot of stimulation, climbing access, toys, window seats and as you can see from his photos, a cat running wheel. Dougie does allow his owner to pet him while he is eating and occasionally when he is distracted with a toy. You must be fully aware that Dougie will take a long time to build trust and a bond, so you must be willing to give him the time he needs to come around. Dougie may never be a lap cat but time will tell.
Dougie will come to his new home neutered, up-to-date on vaccines (not Rabies), microchipped and healthy. He must be indoor only and cannot be declawed. Dougie is eating Nulo dry cat food and Friskies Chicken Filets and only bottled water to drink.
