Cordelia is a little darling. She is a bit shy but that is only temporary. Her recent life has been turbulent for her. She was taken to a shelter after her breeder died. Now she is settling into her foster home. I have received four of these beautiful kitties. Julilette, who looks like this girl but is a year older, has already been adopted. The lilac Ragdoll shown in the last photo is four years old. She needed to be mostly shaved and is still quite shy. The fourth is Sir Galahad, a glorious big Bicolor boy. His bio is now posted. Galahad is Cordelia’s best friend or great uncle, or great, great grandfather etc. Cordelia loves his company and is very sweet to him. These two cats must go home together. No exceptions.
The shelter estimated this little one is 7 months old. However her big nipples look like they have been nursing kittens so I am guessing she is older, closer to a year. As Ragdolls mature their colored “points” darken. If you look at Cordelia’s “face mask” you can see the dark color is still coming in, the brown darkens and spreads up towards the ears and across the cheeks. So we know she is young. All Ragdoll babies are born uniformly beige with no color showing. Their color slowly develops as a photograph does in the old chemical pans. (Yes I am old enough to have watched my father develop prints that way down in the basement.) What fun to watch beige kittens begin to turn colors like that – flame, blue lilac, seal, lynx.
Cordelia is a beautiful girl with her high drama colors and beautiful blue eyes. This lovely little girl and her big protector kitty, Sir Galahad, will make wonderful companions for some lucky family. I don’t know how they would feel about dogs but I know they are both cat friendly. Teenage children would probably be fine with them and maybe even younger ones. They need a happy, fairly quiet home. These sensitive cats react badly to stress or discord so a harmonious family environment is extra appropriate for them.
Cordelia eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
