About Cookie

Adopted by Deana & William

Born ~8/13/17, F, Red & White Turkish Angora Mix

Cookie and sister, Cupcake, are soft armfuls of warm fluff. They are so bonded together they must go home together. No exceptions. They came from the home of a handicapped man who couldn’t keep them. He wanted them to have a safe home, full of love and surrendered them to a cat loving woman who brought them to me. These two treasures will bring constant delight to their new family.

These two are teenagers, full of curiosity and interest in everything. The world they are discovering is much larger than the small space in which they started life. They find everything is a toy. Cookie has the most moxie. Her vivid, saturated red fits with her confident, outgoing personality. She is very dramatic with her bold red patterning. She is hard to photograph because she is in constant movement and will not pose for the camera. She wants to explore everything.

Cupcake has softer colors and perhaps a softer personality. You can see this in the expressions of her sweet face in the photos below. She is a good little girl with a gentle nature. This is not to say she cannot keep up with her active sister, she certainly can. She plays and races about and explores everything. But it is more likely is that Cookie will do it all first. They make a perfect pair- so similar and yet a bit different.

They are both about 7-8 pounds ( kittens grow about a pound a month) They will grow bigger; Turkish Angoras are fairly large cats. They have medium long hair and long bodies and long tails. They come in many colors but solid white and red and white are the two most classic types. These cats are a strong, healthy breed with a soft, easy care coat that seldom matts. These two girls both have wonderfully silky fur, a pleasure to touch.

Cookie and Cupcake are very cat friendly and would not mind living with a family’s other cats. They are easy cats and would be happy to be with gentle, respectful kids. I think they might have lived with a dog but do not know for sure how they would be with dogs. I would guess however that these confident kitties would do well with friendly, safe dogs. What fun some lucky family will have with this pair of entertaining, loving new friends.

Cookie and Cupcake eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
