About Codie
Adopted By Christina & Ljubemir
When an Abyssinian cattery closed this wonderful young kitty was transported to us. Who doesn’t love Abys? What fun he is! Codie is a classic Aby boy- super smart and super curious, an active little monkey. He wants a human of his very own. He has always lived around a number of cats and probably would have liked a bit more attention from his busy mom. He says “My light has been hidden under a barrel”. He wants a family that has lots of time to play with him and will pet him endlessly.
Codie is fascinated with every single thing in his world and will definitely follow you around to see what you are doing and help with your chores. Abyssinians are not a good breed for someone who is away at work all week, they need the companionship of their humans. Codie can happily play by himself but he also needs the stimulation of playing with his family. He is a quiet, gentle cat which is typical of Abyssinians. Though he is a confident boy loud noises or sudden movements easily startle him. He recovers right away. Codie will quickly blossom in his new family but there is still a little sadness his eyes. Do you see it? “Please love me and treasure me.”
I don’t know how Codie is with dogs. He would be happy around a non dominant cat or two or, in the right family, he could also be an only cat. I think he would be fine with older children. What he needs is to be in the very center of his new family’s hearts and home.
If you know this breed you know what a precious boy he is.
Some family will be so lucky.
Codie eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Codie is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Codie please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
