This is such a nice little guy. How did he end up all alone in a shelter? It is always so frustrating to never know. He was just a little, vulnerable guy when we took him into foster. “Love me. Hold me.” he said. The shelter neutered him, combo tested him, and gave him both rabies and FVRCP vaccines. All on the same day. It was a lot for a little baby boy. He felt the effects of it but he handled it and after a couple weeks started putting on some weight and flourishing. He now (2/7) weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces. He is still a little guy. Photo’s always make kittens look larger than they actually are.
Chocolate is a happy, loving guy. He loves to play, and run around. He wants the company of other kittens and cats. He was in a nylon playpen for the first two weeks with us while he was in his two week post shelter isolation. (in case the kitten is incubating a cold for example) He was fine but during that time he looked longingly at the cats near by him. Where were his mom and siblings?.
Chocolate needs to go to a home with at least one other kitten to be his playmate and additional older kitties are fine too. This boy simply wants to lap up love and race around and explore and play. He has a wonderful personality. Everyone falls in love with him. Of course. We have no idea how he is with dogs. Respectful kids over 8 yrs or so would probably be fine.
We named this boy Chocolate but he is not actually a Chocolate Pointed cat, he is a Seal Point. Here is the difference: Seal Point cats have dark brown toe pads and a dark brown nose. Their points- the face, ears, feet and tail are a darker brown than in a Chocolate Point. Chocolate Pointed cats are less common, they have rosy brown toe pads and nose and their pointed fur is lighter. You can see how dark his nose and toe pads ( toe beans ) are. You are now one of the few people who can tell the two colors apart.
Chocolate eats wet and dry food and is litter box perfect.
