Adopted by Trudy & Ted K.
Chicklet is a minx, a saucy little minx to be exact. She was the runt of her litter. She was a tiny 12 ounce girl who had a tail that was always held straight up. Unlike the rest of her litter she refused to get the concept of eating out of a bowl. It was too much fun to be held and cuddled and fed from a food syringe. We fed her at least six times a day and when it was time she would zip out of her room, climb up the towel up onto her little feeding table. She would stand there with her mouth open like a little baby bird. It was so funny. She loved it and so did we. Finally, after 7 weeks of this we got her to eat out of a spoon and then out of a bowl. The rest is history and you can see from her plumpness she is now very good at feeding herself. Yes, she could lose a pound or so and never miss it.
Chicklet is a funny girl, a real character. Maine Coons are known for being quirky individuals, comedians. She qualifies. She is not a hesitant girl unsure of herself. Perhaps we spoiled her by pampering her so much in the beginning. Or perhaps she learned early that humans are trainable. Either way she is quite the entertainer and very interactive with her humans. She is so much fun. She loves attention and all sorts of cuddling and games.
Chicklet arrived into foster with a faux mother. Though unable to nurse them, Misty licked them clean and took care of the litter. She and Chicklet bonded tightly together. It would be appropriate and fun for these two girls to go to their new home together. Misty is a white mitted, black and white Maine Coon mix. She is a outrageous lovebug with folks she knows and even some strangers. Early in her life, before she came to foster with us, something poked one of her eyes and she lost her vision there but not her eye. She needs no meds of special care. She does fine with her other eye. These two make a very loving, funny and sweet pair. I will post Misty’s bio and photo’s next.
Chicklet eats wet and dry and is litterbox perfect.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
