About Cassidy

Born ~2017, M, Grey and Cream Tabby DSH

This little sweet guy was rescued from a very unsafe situation by a wonderful woman. Unfortunately in her home this little teenage boy was picked on and bitten by one of her older, bigger male cats. Perhaps, as a just neutered male, he still smelled of testosterone which the other cat found unacceptable. (That is just a guess.) I offered to take him in and when he arrived his body had a quite a few little wounds and punctures, healing abscesses. Poor guy. He has recovered very nicely.

When he arrived he was a little spooked and unsettled but soon we all saw what a sweetheart he was. He loves being happy. He loves attention. He loves other cats ( his previous troubles notwithstanding) He loves how the world is full of toys. He finds food wonderful. Everything is fun. He is a grateful cat.

Like Miles the Maine Coon I just posted, he is a soft grey tabby with green eyes and a brick red nose ( which is called “nose leather”). His soft fur shows strongly banded legs and a banded tail and narrow stripes across his body. He has dramatic cream eyeliner around his beautiful green eyes. He is a lovely cat. He will run to you, tail straight up, for attention. We find him hard to resist.

At this time, though he comes right to you for attention and rolls around on his back to welcome you, he does not want to be picked up. He is polite about it but he will begin to wiggle and ask to be put down. This certainly is likely to change as he grows up but right now he is not a shoulder cat and not much of a lap cat. At one year old he is still a baby learning about the world.

Cassidy would make a good companion cat to a friendly, playful cat. I don’t know how he is with dogs but I expect he would be happy with a friendly, playful dog.

Cassidy eats wet and dry food and is litter box perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or email: harrietkitty@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
