About Captain
Born ~ 10/12/2016, Male, Tuxedo Maine Coon Mix
Captain is approximately 13+ weeks old. He is a Maine Coon mix with a tuxedo color combination. His Maine Coon heritage is shown by his size, copper eyes, ear furnishings and end tufts, huge whiskers, developing coat and, most of all, his mellow, happy-go- lucky Maine Coon personality.
Captain is a bold, brave kitten – the great explorer – curious about everything and afraid of nothing. Every room or person is a new adventure. Put him a new place, he will happily trot about checking out everything. But his explorations always include the people in the room because as a Maine Coon he is looking for his special human(s) to bond with. Captain never thinks someone might not like him. And he may be right.
Who could resist such a cute tuxedo Maine Coon mix with a bottomless purr and a sunshine based outlook on life? Should his explorations get him into trouble (locked in the closet because he snuck in, or climbed too high on the kitty pole) he does not panic, but pulls out his handy OH MEOW, SAVE Me! Because he knows a friendly person will come and do exactly that.
Captain also loves toys and games. He happy with his siblings, resident cats of ages, or by himself. He is satisfied being a cheerful, enthusiastic, incredibly nice kitten, because it just comes naturally to him. Captain will fit into almost any cat/people situation. He could be a solo kitten with attentive parent(s), or paired with another kitten or older cat, or a great family cat. He would find cat friendly dogs interesting. If you want two, then he would love to take one of his siblings along.
Captain and his siblings Phoebe, Piolet and Ranger were rescued by a cat trap/spay/release person who noticed the hungry kittens tucked beneath a log in the rain at sunset with no mom in sight. She scooped them up, brought them to rescue, and their great adventure began. These kittens immediately embraced people and the creature comforts of civilization. They still are small for their age, but good food, good care, and their own wills to thrive prevailed so they now healthy, playing catching up and raring to go.
Captain eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Captain’s foster mom is Diane in Sacramento County.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
