Born ~2014, F, Brown Tabby Persian
Butters is around 6 years old and is just a little love. As you can see in her photo, when she is in full coat she is stunning. She is currently growing out a lion cut so isn’t quite as fluffy right now which you tell from the other photo the day she was transferred to me. She has a couple of fused vertebrae in her spine which cause her rear end to swing back and forth and gives her an odd gait but it does not slow her down at all. We are not sure what the cause of the fusing is, possibly an old injury. Our vet recommended keeping her on gabapentin for pain relief and it does seem to make her more comfortable. She runs and plays and jumps on the couches just fine.
Butters loves to be groomed and will lick along with the brush to help get herself gussied up. She also purrs throughout her grooming session, providing a nice soundtrack. She does require daily eye and face washing as so many Persians do. Speaking of other Persians, heck all other kitties – she is NOT a fan. She can live happily with gentle, cat-friendly dogs but no other cats please.
