About Blinken

Adopted by Evelyn

Born ~07/15/2016, Female, Red Tabby Maine Coon Mix

When I took three tiny red kittens into foster I thought I would have three little red brothers since red tabby girls are rare. As they grew a bit we learned we actually had two girls and one boy. What a surprise! This is Blinken, the smaller of the two girl kittens. She and her sister, Winken, have dramatic striped markings with round bulls eyes on their sides. They have wonderful red coloring and not only the white eyeliner of their brother but also white feet and bibs and tummies.Their eyes are still changing from their baby color to their adult color.

Blinken is 2 pounds which makes her the smallest of the three kittens. Don’t let her small size fool you. She is is an impudent, energetic, confident little girl kitten. She will race about and zoom right into her siblings. Crash! Then they all run off in different directions. She starts it. Curious and playful she wants to explore everything. At high speed. She is still so small I have no idea how she would be with dogs. I would think she and her sister would be fine with children over 4 feet tall. I say that because these little ones need to be protected while they are so young.

Winken and Blinken are so bonded together they need to be adopted together. What a magnificent pair they will make when they are adults. And what fun.

Blinken eats wet and dry food and is litter box prefect.

She is spayed and will be ready to go home about the end of September though she can be adopted and reserved with her sister prior to that.

Blinken’s foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or toharrietjane@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
