About Bethany
Born ~4/25/19, F, Maine Coon Mix, Dilute Calico
Bethany and her siblings had a rough start in life. Their mother was a stray cat who took very good care of her and her 4 siblings. She had sequestered them away in the upper rafters of an old chicken coop in a private yard in Sacramento. The owners of the home had seen the stray cat come and go from their yard and were very sad to one day find her hit by a car in front of their house. Several days later they made the decision to dismantle the chicken coop to prevent another animal from moving in and when they pried off the roof they found 5 kittens nestled in the old straw. They had been without their mother for several days at this point and were very hungry. The homeowners rushed them to a nearby veterinary office where the litter was taken into rescue.
Bethany is a beautiful girl, very delicate and sweet, but such a big personality! Bethany is a graceful princess with a lovely plumed tail and the most beautiful green eyes. She loves to run through the house, up and down the cat tree, chasing and being chased by her siblings.
And boy does she loves her cat toys! She carries them around in her mouth and will play with them for hours! Her favorite toys are crinkle balls, she likes the noise they make when she pounces on them.
Bethany is very human-bonded. She has been socialized with adult cats and a Labrador Retriever. She has not been around children. She is spayed, vaccinated and has tested negative for FELV.
Bethany is fostered in Woodland, CA. If you would like more information, please contact foster mom, April, at aprilfieldsrvt@purebredsplus.org or send in an Adoption Application with your chosen kitten’s name. If you are unable to reach April, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
