About Benjamin
Adopted by Heidi and Leslie
Benjamin is going to be a big cat. Kittens grow about a pound a month. At 4 months Benjamin is already 6 pounds. You can see how big his paws are; look at the photo of him looking out the window. His body is very long and still slender. His two siblings, the very beautiful Reginald and Sweetie Pie, are over a pound smaller. This boy is going to be big.
This kitten is hard to photograph because in his zest for everything he seldom stops moving. I had to choose the only non blurry photographs I had which make him look quieter than he usually is. He loves everything especially things that entail playing, running and exploring. He was the most outgoing of the kittens when they arrived; his big, confident personality immediately apparent. He is the one who tried to escape from his room, who first came to be picked up, who raced to the food bowl. You can see how comfortable he is with humans, he loves being held and cuddled until he takes a notion to go investigate something. Yes, he is a mischievous troublemaker.
Benjamin needs a home with entertainment in the form of adults who are around a lot, respectful children, and other active cats, and also dogs. I don’t know how he is with dogs but I think he would be a great, hilarious playmate with the right fairly high energy dog. He would not be the right cat for a home with sleepy, senior cats. He is a happy cat who would be perfect, entertaining company in a happy family home. Bear in mind he is only 4 plus months old and some of his kitten energy will wear off as he matures.
Benjamin has silky, soft fur in a rather unusual and lovely golden, light brown color. He has dramatic dark leg bands and eye markings and dark spots on his back. His bib and most of his tummy are creamy white. All of this coloring will deepen and intensify as he matures. I would think- and I could be wrong- but I think that he will probably get to 15 pounds. At least.
Some lucky family will have so much fun with him.
Benjamin eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Benjamin is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
