About Benjamin
This little boy lost his brother suddenly probably due to a birth defect. They were super close and usually slept on top of each other. You can still see some sadness in his eyes in these photo’s. He is recovering his spirits and he is now playing with other kittens.
He has had a hard beginning in life starting with being left in a shelter.Benjamin is an exceptionally sweet boy. He has some shyness or lack of confidence that the world is a safe place for him but he is growing and enjoying life more every day. You can see in the photo’s how he will just lie on your lap and look up at you with his beautiful blue eyes. At first he was sort of a funny looking little thing and then suddenly, overnight it seemed, he grew big and beautiful. The way kittens grow and develop their colors and coat and their whole look is fascinating. It is quite hard to predict and therefore almost always a surprise.
Benjamin will be someone’s treasured companion. He needs a quiet sort of home to help him feel safe. He will grow into his new world. As kittens often are, he will be shy at first but then he will blossom. Though he loves to play and race around and be a kitten he does not have the manic energy of some kittens.. He would enjoy another gentle kitten to play with or a non alpha older cat. Or he could be an only cat with someone who was home a great deal and could give him a lot of love. But please note that he will need some time to go through the transition of adapting to his new home.
So what is a Brown “Van Bicolor”? A Brown Bicolor kitty has the two coat colors of brown and white and has an inverted white “V” on his or her nose. There is brown fur on the head and tail and often there is quite a lot of brown on the back. A “Van Pattern” Bicolor has the brown on the head and tail only and no where else which is similar to the coat pattern of the Turkish Van (though they typically also have one small brown spot on their body).
So Benjamin has brown fur on his head and tail and no where else. All else is bright white. His fur is unusually soft, thick and plush. He is a very beautiful boy and growing more magnificent as he matures.
Benjamin eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
