Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program.  We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat.  It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Artie is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in Bend, OR. An adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Artie is a very handsome, healthy, 6-year-old purebred ‘Neva Masquerade’ Siberian Forest Cat – which is a blue-pointed Siberian cat. Some cat registries may classify the Neva Masquerade as a colourpoint variety or sub-breed of the Russian Siberian cat. Neva Masquerade cats are selectively bred and pedigreed today in all major cat fancier and breeder organizations under the Siberian cat or Neva Masquerade. This means that all Neva Masquerade cats are purebred cats with a formally registered ancestry.
Artie is not only beautiful, he’s a spunky guy, full of energy (when not cat napping), and loves constant play and especially lap cuddles if you’re watching TV. His nickname is “Artie Party” because of his energy. He’s a very vocal conversational fellow and loyal to his owners. He is initially shy to any new guests coming into the home. However, when cat sitters have been needed, the reports are that he warms up after a few hours and will follow them everywhere! He has been a little brother for 5.5 years to a now senior female Siberian.
His family has a new baby and finds that Artie needs a lot more attention than is available to give him at this time. They say this about Artie: “He needs lots of attention; would probably get along with another cat. Our current female is dominant and she grooms him. They have had some territorial disputes since recently moving. He does challenge this older mellow Siberian while instigating play, she is NOT interested. He sleeps a lot during the daytime so should be okay home alone for up to 8 hours a day with adequate am and pm playtime. He likes to be held up on your shoulder and is a cozy ‘office assistant’. He is happy to be with us wherever we are. He is affectionate and loves to cuddle in the evenings while watching TV. The time available for Artie’s need for interaction has dwindled significantly since our new baby arrived.”

We think Artie is a great cat! He is a rare beauty with a sweet personality. A cat-friendly playmate would likely be good for Artie. We are not sure how he would be with a dog or small children. Perhaps well-mannered older children, who are kind to animals and would enjoy playing with Artie, would be okay for him. If you are thinking he might be just right for you, reach out soon as we expect a lot of interest in this highly desirable breed. He lives with his owners in Bend, Oregon.

Artie is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in Bend, OR.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
