About Apple Annie

Adopted By Liz, Angi, and Ari

Apple Annie and Clara Belle were just over half a pound when they came into foster with us. Little scraps of life, they were already an unusually dark, vivid red color. We had the fun of syringe feeding them and watching them grow. They needed a bath and you can see a picture of sort of stunned, wet Clara below. Such a little darling.

Of the two, Clara Belle is the most outgoing. She likes to stand on people and will say “Hey give me some attention! Here I am”. Clara is a “Striped Tabby” with markings of a darker red. Both kitties are play monsters and are especially crazy for feather wands. Apple Annie is a marble tabby (which is called a “Classic tabby”) she has the dramatic swerves and curves of big bullseyes on her sides. At this point she prefers to sit next to you rather than on you. Both kittens are affectionate and enjoy petting when they know you. Apple Annie checks in with her sister and follows her lead, Clara Belle is the big sister. Their faces are so similar you need to see their backs to tell them apart. I love the way their gold orange eyes go with their orange coat color.

These sisters must go home together. There are no exceptions to this. How great for their new family to have a matched set of kitties. These two are so bonded they are always touching each other as they sit or lie near each other. Both kittens are fine with other cats. They have never met dogs. They would probably be fine with middle school age children. Clara and Apple are still learning their social manners and are growing more beautiful and confident every day. They will be cuddly and entertaining companions for some lucky family.

They eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

They are fostered in Santa Cruz.
