Born ~2012, Female, Calico, Maine Coon Mix
Addlyn is a beautiful, long haired kitty with calico and white coloring, and her fur is extraordinarily soft and fluffy. Her owner is very sad to have to give up this lovely kitty but circumstances beyond her control are forcing her to find a new home for this wonderful little creature.
Addlyn is very confident and social, but she doesn’t like to be held. Well, most kitties don’t care to be held, so she is apparently no exception. With her calico nature, she loves being around people and will always be wherever there is activity, and she wants her freedom too.
She is playful and curious and very smart, pulling open cracked doors to see what’s behind them. She will greet you at the front door when you come home. She will wait outside of the shower until you get out, and offer her paw to you and meow to let you know she missed you while you were indisposed.
Addlyn tolerates bathing fairly well. She has been known to jump into the shower or bathtub to check out the water. She likes to hone her hunting skills by catching and playing with anything that moves.
She would be great with teenagers and up who understand and respect kitty nature. She might not get along well with younger children that might prefer a cat they can pick up and hold. She will struggle to escape and may even bite or scratch if she is being held against her will or if cornered.
Addlyn doesn’t hiss or growl or show any signs of aggression with other cats. She loves to play chase and will hide and pounce when she’s feeling especially playful. She hasn’t been exposed to dogs while her current owner has had her, but her owner thinks she would be fine with dogs since she exudes a lot of confidence.
Addlyn loves to play with string, balls, feathers, or even just hide and seek. She likes to sleep on the bed, but likes her space. She’ll usually curl up near the foot of the bed.
She had a vet check July 25, 2016, and was declared healthy. She uses her litter box without any issues.
