Oh my, who do we have here? No, these pictures are not airbrushed or photoshopped – what you see pictured here is an exquisite, gorgeous itty bitty doll kitty. She weighs 5-6 lbs. and is truly a doll face petite Persian girl. Her official name is Dorothy, but Princess Dorothy is very appropriate because she behaves like a little dainty Princess (not to be confused with a Diva!)
Her owner is heartbroken about having to give her up. Princess Dorothy was purchased from a breeder at 7 months old along with her brother. After their human baby made the arrival into their home, little Princess Dorothy has become very stressed out with all of the activities. Her human mom is not able to shower her with the love and affection she was once able to give this little princess. It is with a very heavy heart (so expect tears on the day of the adoption), and with all of the love she has for this sweet, innocent little kitty, that she contacted our organization to help find a perfect home situation for this precious little feline.
Princess Dorothy has all of the wonderful qualities of the Persian breed. She is very sweet, cuddly and docile. She will sit perfectly still when given a mani/pedi. She loves being groomed, and if you let her, she will be velcroed to your lap for hours. She has never bitten or scratched anyone, she is a soft little snuggle kitty, she is calm, on the timid side, and her current owner lovingly describes her as a perpetual kitten.
Her ideal home will be with a kind, caring, gentle, and calm human (or two) who appreciates having a dainty little kitty girl as a constant companion. Princess Dorothy needs a stable home where someone will have time to offer a lap, a gentle stoking hand, and the undivided attention that this little treasure craves and deserves. We prefer someone who is familiar with the Persian breed and who is happy having only one exquisite feline grace their home; i.e., no competition from cats, dogs or other pets.
Princess Dorothy is currently on medication for anxiety, which we believe will be unnecessary once she has acclimated in her new tranquil home environment. She had a vet checkup about 6 months ago, and she is on a high protein diet for her little sensitive tummy.
Please note that Dorothy is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with her current owner in Berkeley, CA while being placed in her new home.
