About This Cat

Adopted by Sarah & John

Born ~8/26/17, M, Bronze Spotted Egyptian Mau Mix

Here is Mouse’s beautiful brother, Mickey. He has spots everywhere except under his white chin and on his partly white rear legs and tummy. He is a lovebug, a very sweet little boy. He loves to hang out on a shoulder and nibble on your hair and play with it. Right now his great joy in life is running. His body is growing long, lithe, and sleek. He is built to run. Egyptian Mau’s are actually the fastest runners of any breed in the domestic cat world; the web says some have reached speeds of 30 mph. Mickey is just a kitten but already you can see what an athlete he is. Maus have eyes that are generally a green color as you can see in the two last internet photos of Maus which I included at the bottom of Mouse’ photos. Mau kitten eyes actually change color as they become mature adults, most turning a green color. Mickey at nine weeks old when these photos were taken is just beginning to develop his adult eye color. Egyptian Maus are good, loyal family cats. They are a highly intelligent, playful through their whole life and an unusually healthy breed.

Mickey came to me from a friend who has already brought me four Egyptian Mau mix kittens. (Guinness and Maggie, Keegan and Corrie, both pairs adopted). There is talk of a not neutered Egyptian Mau male out in their neighborhood. I have included at the bottom of Mouse’s bio some photos of Egyptian Maus from the internet for comparison. Mickey looks like a Mau kitten but, as is often the case, we cannot know for sure. He is certainly is a beautiful, healthy, happy and loving kitten. Mickey and his brother Mouse are both very affectionate, human loving kittens. When they are tired they will fall asleep in your lap. Some family will be so lucky.

Mickey cannot be separated from his brother Mouse. They are very bonded and must go to their new home together.

Mickey eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or email harrietkitty@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment.  Why?  This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other.  A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
