About This Cat

Born ~10/1/17, M & F, Black Manx Kittens

How can I do two separate bios when I can’t tell the kittens apart?  The girl is a bit smaller but they look so identical I am posting them together. These two kittens must go home together. No exceptions.

A valiant transporter went all the way down to near Bakersfield to bring these kittens to me. This little rural shelter could not and would not keep them. They had to be out the next day, literally. A wonderful woman said “Sure I will spend 10 hours of my Saturday going to get them.”  Thank goodness for her. What a wonderful pleasure they have been.

This brother and sister pair are demons for fun. They have an unusually strong zest for life even for kittens. They are confident explorers of the world and get into everything and hang from the ceiling by their toes (really). They are not a photographer’s dream. Everyone knows black cats are hard to photograph. And then they look identical which does not help. And then they won’t hold still for a single photograph.

So let me describe them in words.  They have very even length plush black fur which is very soft. No tails. Their hind legs look slightly longer than their front legs which is typical of Manxes. Look how lovely their paws are all round and puffy and soft. Their perfectly round eyes are and green yellow. Their ears are growing tufts at the tips. They are warm and love to cuddle when they are not racing around.

We syringe fed them when they arrived and they associate humans with all things good. You can pick them up in any position and they still love you. Their favorite thing is to get into trouble climbing something. There is not a mean bone in their body. They are kitten and cat friendly. They will bring  a lifetime of entertainment and delight to their new family.

Boris and Beatrice eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment.  Why?  This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other.  A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
