10 year old, F, Silver Spotted Bengal
Anjali and Nellifer are sisters who came to us after their longtime guardian passed away. As bewildering as it is for a cat to leave the comforts of home for a strange environment, we were glad to be able to offer these two foster care in a quiet household.
Despite being sisters, Anjali and Nellifer have distinctive looks and personalities. Anjali is spotted, as you can see in her photos. She is the adventuress of the pair and, given the opportunity, might try to escape. Of course, like all cats placed by Purebreds Plus, these two must be kept strictly indoors.
Anjali is friendly and somewhat vocal. In addition to her regular meow, which is like her sister Nellifer’s, she has a deep yowl that seems to mean “It’s my turn for attention” or “I want to explore a different room now.”
Anjali likes toys and interacting people but is strongly bonded with her sister, Nellifer. They must go home as a pair, and to a household with no other pets.
Anjali’s foster mom will consider placing her in a home with respectful children, but we would want any children to be present at the adoption visit to ensure that the match is a good one.
Healthwise, Anjali has recently received a dental. In addition, her foster mom noticed that Anjali had hair missing in a few spots, so we consulted a veterinarian. The vet treated Anjali’s symptoms but hypothesized that the condition could be the result of stress, in which case the fur will come back once she is settled in a new home; we’ve had other cats with hair loss that resolved weeks or months after placement. A good diet, with attention to any possible allergies, is also important to the condition of a cat’s skin and fur.
Anjali is microchipped, current on shots, and litterbox perfect.
